HER PAGES IN PROVENCE
RETREAT AGREEMENT
This Retreat Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into between Once Upon a Script LLC (“Organizer”) and the undersigned participant (“Participant”) in connection with participation in Her Pages in Provence, a women-focused writing retreat taking place June 9–14, 2026, in Provence, France.
By registering for and attending the retreat, Participant agrees to the following terms:
1. PARTICIPATION & CODE OF CONDUCT
Her Pages in Provence is designed to be a safe, respectful, inclusive, and supportive creative space.
Participant agrees to:

Treat all fellow participants, mentors, and staff with respect and professionalism

Engage in retreat activities in good faith

Refrain from disruptive, harmful, discriminatory, or inappropriate behavior
-
Respect confidentiality within the group, including personal stories, creative work, and private conversations
-
Follow all local laws, venue policies, and retreat guidelines
The Organizer reserves the right to remove any participant from the retreat without refund if their behavior is deemed disruptive, unsafe, or harmful to the group or experience.
2. MEDIA RELEASE & USE OF LIKENESS
Participant understands and agrees that the retreat may be photographed, filmed, or recorded for marketing, promotional, educational, and social media purposes, including but not limited to:

Social media posts
-
Website content
-
Promotional videos
-
Future retreat marketing
By attending, Participant grants Once Upon a Script LLC the irrevocable right to use their image, likeness, voice, and/or name in such materials without compensation.
If Participant has specific concerns (e.g., limited visibility), they must communicate this in writing prior to the retreat. Reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate, but full exclusion cannot be guaranteed.
3. ASSUMPTION OF RISK & LIABILITY WAIVER
Participant acknowledges that participation in the retreat includes travel, workshops, group activities, wellness experiences, excursions, and local activities that may involve inherent risks.
Participant:

Voluntarily assumes all risks associated with attending the retreat

Is solely responsible for their own physical, emotional, and mental well-being
-
Understands Organizer does not provide medical care, insurance, or emergency services
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Participant releases and holds harmless Once Upon a Script LLC, its owners, contractors, mentors, staff, and affiliates from any and all claims, liabilities, injuries, losses, damages, or expenses arising from participation.
4. TRAVEL, INSURANCE & PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY
Participant is responsible for:

Travel arrangements (flights, transportation, etc.)

Valid travel documents (passport, visas, etc.)

Travel insurance (strongly recommended)

Personal expenses outside of retreat inclusions
Organizer is not responsible for delays, cancellations, missed connections, illness, injury, weather conditions, transportation issues, or circumstances beyond its control.
5. PAYMENT, CANCELLATION & REFUNDS
Participant acknowledges that:

Deposits and retreat fees are non-refundable within the timeframe outlined in retreat policies

Payment plans must be completed by the stated deadlines

Retreat credits may be issued at Organizer’s discretion if a replacement participant is found
-
Failure to complete payments may result in forfeiture of the Participant’s spot without refund
6. PROGRAMMING & RETREAT EXPERIENCE
Participant understands that the retreat experience is curated as a whole and may include writing sessions, optional wellness activities, excursions, group conversations, and creative programming.
While Organizer carefully plans all experiences, circumstances may arise that require substitutions, schedule changes, or adjustments.
By registering, Participant agrees that:

The retreat will proceed regardless of minor programming or schedule changes

Optional experiences and excursions may be modified due to weather, availability, or local conditions

No refunds or cancellations will be granted due to itinerary adjustments, activity substitutions, or schedule changes
7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All creative work developed during the retreat remains the sole property of the Participant.
Organizer makes no claim to ownership of any scripts, concepts, outlines, written materials, or creative work created during the retreat.
8. AGREEMENT & ACKNOWLEDGMENT
By registering for Her Pages in Provence and/or signing this Agreement, Participant confirms that they:

Have read and understood this Agreement

Agree to all terms outlined above
-
Accept full responsibility for their participation
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the state in which Once Upon a Script LLC is registered.
