Terms and conditions

At Once Upon a Script, every retreat is crafted with intention, to bring together women writers, creators, and storytellers in spaces that inspire growth, connection, and creative breakthroughs. By booking a retreat or event, you acknowledge that you’ve read and agreed to the following Terms & Conditions:

Reservation Deposit

To secure your place at a Once Upon a Script retreat or event, we require a non-refundable, transferable deposit. This deposit counts toward your total fee.

Remaining Balance

Final payment is due no later than 30 days before the retreat or event begins.
If payment is not received by the deadline, your spot may be released to another participant and your deposit forfeited.

Change & Cancellation Policy

More than 60 Days Before Event Start:

You may transfer your reservation to another retreat within the same calendar year (subject to availability).
Deposits remain non-refundable. Any additional payments made will be refunded.

Within 30 Days of Event Start:

No changes can be made.
No refunds will be issued for cancellations, regardless of reason.

We encourage all participants to book mindfully and plan with care.

Travel & Health Insurance

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that covers cancellations, medical emergencies, or other unforeseen events. Once Upon a Script is not responsible for missed, delayed, or canceled travel that impacts your attendance.

No Exceptions Policy

We know life can be unpredictable, but we must honor the commitments required to bring these experiences to life.
For that reason, we cannot make exceptions to the cancellation policy under any circumstances, including illness, family or work emergencies, or travel disruptions.

Code of Conduct

Once Upon a Script is built on respect, creativity, and inclusion. To honor that spirit:

We reserve the right to remove any participant whose behavior is disruptive, harmful, or discriminatory.
No refunds will be issued in such cases.
Guests are responsible for any damages to property or materials during retreats or events.
Programming, mentors, or facilitators may be adjusted without prior notice, if necessary.

Privacy Policy

Our services are hosted in the U.S., and your data will be processed and stored there. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and interpreted under the laws of the State of Georgia, USA. If you live outside the U.S., your local consumer protection laws may also apply.
