Emmylou Diaz is a writer, producer, director, and educator with more than a decade of experience in scripted television. Her writing and producing credits include Station 19, The Watchful Eye, Charmed, and Jane the Virgin, where she developed character-driven stories for network and streaming audiences.
As a director, Emmy’s award-winning short films have screened at festivals across the country, and her work reflects a passion for emotionally resonant storytelling and authentic human connection. In addition to her industry work, Emmy is an Assistant Professor of Screenwriting at Loyola Marymount University’s School of Film and Television, where she mentors the next generation of writers.
Emmy specializes in character-driven television and feature storytelling across drama, comedy, dramedy, thriller, horror, grounded sci-fi, and elevated genre. Her feedback focuses on story development and craft, rather than proofreading or formatting.
